Christmas Gift Guide 2018 NO.1

Last year I did two “Last-Minute Christmas Gift Guides ( Last-minute Christmas gift ideas- No.1 and Last-Minute gift guide No.2), and this year I want to do this again, but with more time for you to find the products mentioned. I will be including products that can be used as a Christmas Gift (by this I mean a larger Christmas present), and stocking-fillers. A lot of the time you can buy a larger gift and break it up in order to give a gift to multiple people; this is a cost-effective way of giving awesome gifts to numerous people. 

When I was compiling my list of gift ideas, I found that Superdrug offered so many that it would be a huge blog post. To save you all from that monotony, I have decided to dedicate this first Christmas Gift guide purely to Superdrug gifts. There are SO many options in Superdrug to choose from, and I’ve only included a small amount (just so you know, not all Superdrug items are suitable for vegans, and not all the brands they sell are cruelty-free, so make sure you check). When I wrote this blog post, there was a sale on at Superdrug, if you read this whilst there’s still a sale, that’s great, but if you read this after the sale, the prices will still be reasonable, so don’t worry too much.

Gifts for Him: 

Bulldog Original Skincare Kit – (SALE!) £15 (was £24):  This set includes all the essentials a man might need to keep moisturised and hydrated skin. It includes a face wash, face scrub, face moisturiser and a lip balm. All of this comes in a handsome toiletry bag. That’s a lot of bang for your buck!

Bulldog Trio Set – (SALE!) £9 (was £12): Even out of the sale, this is very good value for money. This gift set includes a Moisturiser, Shaving Gel and Shaving Balm. A great way to start a man into self-care.

Bristle and Smith 7 Day Wash and Oil Gift Set – (SALE!) £8 (Was £16): Again, this is excellent value for money, even when it’s not in the sale (but in the sale it is half price!). This gift set comes with an array of items, intended for male self-care. The set includes Face wash, Beard Oil, Body lotion, Shaving Balm, Face Cloth and a Beard Comb. He’ll be spoilt for choice!

Bristle and Smith New Beard Set – (SALE!) £6 (Was £10): This set will help any fella with facial hair look dapper and ready for business. The set includes a Beard Wash, Beard Oil and Beard Comb.

B. Men 4 in 1  Wash and Moisturise Cream Set- (SALE!) £6 (Was £10): This set is ideal for men who haven’t yet ventured into the self-care arena; it comes with two products,  a multi-functional wash and moisturiser. The wash can be used on the face, beard, body and hair.

 

Stocking-fillers for Him: 

All of the above can be broken up and given separately or as stocking-fillers. However, below are some stocking-filler ideas for Him.

B. Grooming Kit- (SALE!) £6 (was £8):  This grooming kit will allow men to take care of any straggly nails quickly and easily. The kit comes in a nice, hard-wearing, travel-size case; perfect for a man to carry around with him. Nobody likes a hang-nail.

Bulldog Sensitive Moisturiser Cracker (SALE!) £4 (was £6):  This cracker is a really fun way to give a man some moisturiser. The cracker will fit well into a stocking, and inside is a sensitive version of the Bulldog moisturiser. Fun and practical!

Gifts for Her:

I always find it easier to find things for women in general, but I find it’s especially the case for beauty products. Superdrugs offer SO many cute or beautiful gifts, and these are just a very small amount that I liked.

Superdrug Spaa and Body Pamper Kit (SALE!) £10 (was £24): If you mange to get this in the sale, you are making a big saving. This set includes a lot: Body Salts; Body Lotion; Body Scrub; Body Milk; Puff, and all of this comes in an attractive copper and grey vanity case. A perfect treat for someone who needs to spend more time on themselves.

B. Perfect Base (SALE!) £25 (was £30):  This set features four full-sized products that will help prime and set your face. It includes a primer, a setting powder and a setting spray. A great gift for any makeup lover!

Superdrugs Studio London Large Eyeshadow and Face Palette (SALE!) £9 (was £16): This palette comes with 59 eye and face shades! That’s a lot for someone to play with; perfect for any makeup lover. The palette is in an attractive gold, glitter case, which adds to the festivity of the gift.

I Heart Revolution Chocolate Heart Makeup Gift Set- (SALE!) £30 (was £40): This is a mega-gift! This product not only comes in fantastic, cute packaging, but it is bursting with products. It includes a Red Velvet Eyeshadow Palette; a Peanut Butter Cup Eyeshadow Palette; A Praline Face Palette; A Chocolate Heart Shimmer Bronze. I think it is such an awesome gift, and will be sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.

Revolution Totally Soph Gift Set – (SALE!) £18 (was £30):This is a big saving on some awesome products. This gift set looks sophisticated, and sleek, and includes: a contour, highlight and blusher palette; 3 nude lip glosses; a daytime eyeshadow palette. This is sure to make a fantastic gift for anyone!

Flutter Makeup Brushes (SALE!) £7 (was £15): Giving makeup brushes for Christmas is a great idea, as many people don’t know where to start when it comes to makeup brushes. This little set comes with a Powder brush; Foundation Brush; Eyeshadow brush and a silicone sponge; a perfect way to start a makeup brush collection. The packaging of this is really cute too!

E.L.F Rose Gold Look Gift Set (SALE!) £20 (was £25): E.L.F is now available in Superdrug, so it’s really easy to pick some bargains up. This is a 4-piece set that includes Rose-gold eyeshadow palette; Baked highlighter and blush; Beautifully bare matte eyeshadow; Matte lip colour in Tea Rose. All these products are winners, and will be sure to make someone’s Christmas.

Stocking-fillers for Her:

As I said before, some of the above items would do well as stocking-fillers too, if you break them up. Also, a few of the makeup brands that they include in-store are cruelty-free and have vegan options (Barry M; Makeup Revolution; E.L.F; GOSH; SLEEK), and of course these things will instantly make great stocking-fillers. The items listed below are just a few items that jumped out to me.

I Heart Revolution Chocolate Orange Eyeshadow Palette – £8.99: What really made me want to include this palette, aside from the fact that it includes beautiful shades, is the name of it. Chocolate orange is such a Christmas thing, that it seems apt to give someone this palette as a gift. The shades really do look beautiful, and I imagine anyone who receives this (and likes orange!) will be very happy.

I Heart Revolution Mint Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette- £ 8.99: I include this with the same reasons as the chocolate orange palette: mint chocolate is a Christmas treat (for many, anyway). This palette is in the same iconic chocolate bar packaging, but with a mint effect, rather than orange. Inside is an array of colours, including nudes, browns, and, of course, greens.

Revolution “Inconspicuous” Liquid Lipstick – £4:   A red lipstick is a classic look at the best of times, but at Christmas it’s almost a must, and this matte liquid lipstick sure delivers. In sleek packaging, and a very vibrant red, this lipstick will make people look as festive as they feel.

Flutter Manicure set (SALE!) £4 (was £8):  I included a grooming kit for the men, and so I include a manicure set for the women here. It’s essentially the same thing, but this one comes in an adorable case. A lovely little gift to include in the stocking, and very handy too (no pun intended).

Flutter Hand Cream (SALE!) £1 (was £3) :  I nearly always include a Flutter hand-cream in my gifts to people. They smell really nice, they do the job of moisturising the hands, and they look adorable. It’s win all-round with this!

Flutter Sheet Masks  (SALE!) £4 (was £6):  I am always really happy to see sheet masks that are cruelty-free and vegan. I have to admit that I was wondering when the sheet mask craze was going to let us vegans join in, because the majority of the time they were either tested on animals or contained animal products (Yuck! on both accounts). But I’ve noticed in the recent months that cruelty-free and vegan sheet masks are becoming more available. Now Superdrug’s Flutter brand have come out with them! You can get a singular sheet mask from this brand (on sale for £1 at the moment), or you can get this cute trio that includes a sheet mask and two cooling eye masks. Both are a good shout!

Flutter Soap Flowers (SALE!) £5 (was £6): These look so cute and pretty. There’s not much more to add to that really…they just look fun, cute and pretty. Result!
